Punkbuster is constantly kicking me for "communication failure" "heartbeats stopped". Apparently the comunication failure means somehow punkbuster A and punkbuster B are being stoped from comunicating. Ive no idea what heartbeats stopped means.
This has been happening for 6 months. And i stopped playing COD because of it. But im back trying to sort this problem out.
No i dont use any game mods and i certainly dont run any "haks".
It got to a point where i completely removed my anti virus programs... and for a while that seemed to work... but ATM i still have no anti virus installed... but it is still kicking me.
Im running windows XP home edition.
Both pnkb A and pnkb B are checked as "exeptions" in the windows xp security centre fire wall. That means its not being blocked by that fire wall. I have also tried completely disabling xp security centre fire wall...... none of this has worked.
I have gone into the actual modem... and in the modem firewall settings i can run it as a "virtual DMZ" port which is specifically for gaming and gives the PC full acces to the internet. That didnt work.
i have gone into /run regedit and into Evenbalance permissions... and everything is "allowed".
So after months of frustration trying everything i can think of .. and trying everything that both evenbalance and activision websites have sugested..... nothing has worked.
So now im just getting no response from the evenbalance punkbuster support ticket that i made weeks ago.
Im at a complete loss on how to fix this extreemly frustrating problem.
Can anyone help me ..
