I just got off halo 3 and was going to play some world at war, but when i got to the xbox live menu it didn't show my rank/prestige and tells me to Please Wait.... Then I try to play, join a game and it comes up

This is hillarious because I just got off halo 3, which would be laggy as hell if my connection was bad and not sure what to do now.
